There are so far 11 different events for the National Day of Prayer and Fasting on Saturday 27th February 2021 within Queensland, in addition to the webcast and bible reading marathon.
More venues and locations are very welcome – so please feel free to organize churches in your area and let the team at www.nationaldayofprayer.org.au know. More venues are required, than last year, as COVID requirements prevent the larger gatherings that occurred in previous years.
In summary the South East Queensland and Regional Queensland events for 2021 will be held in (further details and maps are further down the page):

- Surfers Paradise (Gold Coast), River Church, 2 Monaco St, 10am to 1 or 2pm Sat 27 Feb 2021;
- Tugun (Gold Coast), Living Temple Christian Church, 24 Toolona St, noon to 4pm Sat 27 Feb 2021;
- Webcast (Online/ Your place) – A webcast, live from Parliament House lawns in Canberra, will be available between 9am to 3pm QLD time (10 to 4pm ACT time) on Sat 27 Feb 2021. The link will appear on the homepage of the www.nationaldayofprayer.org.au shortly before it goes live on Saturday morning 27th February 2021.

Annual National Day of Prayer & Fasting- Brisbane City- Sat 27 Feb 2021
The National Day of Prayer and Fasting is on Saturday 27th February 2021 right across Australia.
Brisbane City – Kelvin Grove/Red Hill
When: Saturday 27th February 2021, 10am to 4pm (come for part or whole of event)
Who: For all praying Christians of every denomination (Evangelical, Protestant, Pentecostal, Catholic, and everything in between.)
Where: New Hope Church, 46 Kelvin Grove Rd, Kelvin Grove QLD; 10am to 4pm Sat 27th Feb 2021. (UBD Map 1 – D2, D3, E3). Also see newhopebrisbane.com. Note Glory City Church also uses same premises. Located next door to the Normanby Pub. The Inner City Bypass (or overpass over Kelvin Grove Rd) is on the outbound side of the church carpark. The building was formerly the the Sunny Queen Egg factory, there is a courier business downstairs and a paintball business behind.
What: 6 hours of prayer and praise mingled together as we pray and cry out to God on behalf for our city, state and nation.
Cost: Free. Donations will be collected to support the running of the National Day of Prayer across the nation, and throughout the year.
Register: Must register onsite upon arrival via QR code or sign on sheet due to COVID restrictions.
Food/Drink: No catering will be provided. Fasting in some form is encouraged since it is the National Day of Prayer and FASTING. Please bring a bottle of water with you. You may slip outside to eat and snack.
Please Bring: A prepared heart, Christian friends (invite your church), bible, water bottle, paper & pen, snacks (if applicable), Translink card (if applicable) .
Children: Children are welcome to come provided that they want to join in. No child minding is provided.
Transport: Public transport is an option, the church is also located across the Road from the Normanby busway stop (Between Roma St and QUT Kelvin Grove bus stop). Numerous buses also go along Kelvin Grove Rd or service the university just to the north. Refer translink.com.au/ for more info. It is also a 20 minute walk from Roma St Railway /Bus Station through the Roma St gardens.
Parking: Onsite parking is available.
Directions: If driving from the City direction along Kelvin Grove Rd (outbound), the church driveway is the next driveway after the Normanby Pub carpark driveway (and before the freeway overpass).
If driving from the north (inbound) along Kelvin Grove Rd, you will need to be in the right lane as you pass QUT on your left, when you see the freeway overpass over Kelvin Grove Rd slowdown and put your right indicator on, immediately after the overpass turn right into the church carpark.
There is also the option to park in streets adjacent to Kelvin Grove Road (on west side of Kelvin Grove Rd) (opposite or near QUT Kelvin Grove), and then walk towards the city/church. Check for parking time limits – especially if in Kelvin Grove Village/Uni precinct proper.

Bible Reading Marathon – 72 hours non stop – 26-29 Feb 2021
The bible reading marathon is on again this year at Speakers Corner in front of Parliament House near QUT Gardens Point entry. It will again coincide with the National Day of Prayer and Fasting starting at 6pm Friday 26th February at book of Genesis and finishing with Revelations approximately 72 hours later on Monday evening the 29th of February 2021.

National Day of Prayer & Fasting Events in Regional Queensland
National Day of Prayer & Fasting Events will be held on the Sunshine Coast at Tanawha. Gold Coast events will be held at Surfers Paradise, and Tugun. An events will also be held in Toowoomba. National Day of Prayer at Surfers Paradise:
When: Saturday 27th February 2021 between 10am to 1pm (or 2pm) (Times to be confirmed)

Parking and Transport: The church is located adjacent to a G-Link (tram) stop. There is parking at the rear of the building accessed from a side street. There is also a vacant lot of land that can be accessed from the side street available for parking.
Please bring: Prepared heart, friends, water bottle, bible, pen & paper.
Extra details: Last year (2020) no booking or RSVP required, you could just turn up. This year COVID restrictions will require capture of your name in some form upon arrival. Children are welcome with parents, though no childcare will be provided.
