ANZAC Beersheba Charge 31 Oct 1917- from Generation Fire Event Poster 2014

Summary of Prayer Strategy:

Thanksgiving > Repentance > Verbally Renounce sin > Destroy evil objects > Reverse Curses > Despatch evil > Fill vacuum with Holy Spirit > Release Blessings  > Pronounce Blessings> Thanksgiving >

Briefly talk as a team to identify and agree on a sin from the 10 Commandments to pray through for ourselves, ancestors, church and nation. Exodus 20:2-17 . Eg idolatry.

There are consequences and curses for disobeying God.

    • We reap what we sow. Galatians 6:7
    • Notice that in Deuteronomy 28:15-68 there are a heap of curses or consequences for disobeying God.

Notice that we also need to repent of our and our ancestors sins/iniquities. Our ancestors sins can still affect us.

    • Notice in the 10 commandments: Exodus 20:5 “For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generationsof those who hate Me,”
    • Daniel prayed for his people confessing their sins (not just his own sins)- notice use of word “we”. Daniel 9:4-19

There are blessings and generational blessings for obeying and loving God.

    • “but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.” Exodus 20:6
    • Notice that in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 and 30:2-10 there are a heap of promised blessings for obeying God.

The Prayer Strategy:

  1. Start the prayer time with thanksgiving towards God.
    • “We will enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise;” Psalm 100:4

  1. Repentance and asking forgiveness. Pray together, and add to each others prayer.
    • In Jesus name and by the power of his blood, on behalf of ourselves, our ancestors, our families, church and nation, we ask forgiveness and repent of the sins of ____________ , ______________ ,  __________________ , _______________. (different versions of that sin in ourselves and nation).

  1. Renounce these sins (from above) out loud together. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully..”   2 Corinthians 4:2
    • In Jesus name, on behalf of ourselves, our families and to the extent that our authority allows we reject, renounce, separate from, divorce from these sins of ____________ , ______________ ,  __________________ , _______________. (different versions of that sin in ourselves and nation that have just been repented of).
    • In the same way that Gideon, Jehu, King Hezekiah destroyed the idols of Baal (as recorded in Judges 6:25-27, 2 Kings 10:26-28, 2 Kings 18:4), we smash, destroy and chuck into the fire of God ____________ , ____________ , _____________ , ____________ (prophetically acting or with body language – chuck out all physical evidence of these sins, such as idols, defiled objects, objects used for evil, obelisks etc).
    • Where we do not personally own these evil objects or idols that are in our land, so therefore cannot personally destroy these idols, we ask that you God would raise up people who do have the authority to destroy this evil in our land.

  1. Reverse the Curse, and fill void with Holy Spirit
  • We acknowledge that sin and disobedience to God brings curses upon ourselves and our nation, as it says in the 10 commandments and in Deuteronomy 28:15-68.
  • We thank you Jesus for all that you purchased for us on the cross.
  • In Galations 3:13 says that “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us.  For it is written (in Deut 21:23), “cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree”.”  Thus we ask you Jesus to take the all the curses associated with the sins we have just confessed and repented of, because you have already paid for them on the cross.
  • We humbly submit to God as it says in James 4:7. We declare that the devil and any evil spirits must flee. We declare that evil spirits have lost legal ground because we have confessed and repented of sin.

  1. Ask for release of generational blessings formerly blocked by sins and curses.
  • We thank you God that you love to bless us and show mercy on us.
  • God we ask you to release the generational blessings as a result of our ancestors love and obedience of you, that had formerly been blocked by our ancestors sin and iniquity.

  1. Ask for special blessing due to ANZACS in Israel
  • We know that in Genesis 12:3, you God promised Abraham and therefore Israel, that person and any country who blesses Israel will be blessed.
  • We declare that we will bless Israel. We ask that our country may have a soft spot for Israel and thus bless Israel.
  • We therefore remind you God, and bring to your remembrance that many of our ANZAC soldiers voluntarily lost their lives liberating Israel and Jews in both World War I and World War II. We also remind you of the battle of Beersheba held on this day in 1917.
  • We therefore ask for generational blessing to be released on us and our nation. Help us as a nation to not take your blessing for granted.
  • Thank you for blessing us.
  • We ask you God to raise up an ANZAC prayer and worship army in this land that is passionately on fire for you. Let our prayers, melody and Hallelujah’s be our weapons.

  1. Pronounce Blessings on ourselves, our communities, our cities, our nation, Israel. Put Gods name on the people of this nation. (Don’t ask God to bless, You personally pronounce blessings in the authority that Jesus has given us, standing in God’s presence like a priest would).
  • The Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: ‘“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you  and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’ “So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.” Numbers 5:22-27
  • In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, We bless ourselves, our families, our communities, our churches, the military, the health care sector, our schools, cities, our land, our nation with ____________ , ____________ , _________ , __________ , ____________.
  • We bless ____________ with _______________________________________.
  • We bless ____________ with _______________________________________.
  • We bless ____________ with _______________________________________.
  • We bless ____________ with _______________________________________.
  • We bless ____________ with _______________________________________.
  • Think of things that are the opposite of the sins and curses that have been confessed and repented of. Bless with these. Eg: Righteousness, Justice, Love, repentance, fear of God, Prosperity, Respect, righteous laws, rains in season, guidance, righteous leaders, health, energy, ministries, good spiritual gifts, renewal, freedoms, revival etc etc

  1. Celebrate with thanksgiving and praise, for what God has done. (Thanksgiving sandwich)
